1. Business Organization and Concept Development

2. Planning and Marketing

3. Financial Development

This is a program with flexible and rotating schedules; culminating in the development of a fully professional business plan. Her in-depth knowledge of the polishing process and years of hands-on experience gave her an unparalleled understanding of what types of polishing products give the best quality and efficiency results for customers.

Schlesinger was introduced to SBDC at a 2004 workshop and soon after became a SBDC client. Over the years, SBDC has helped Schlesinger better understand her company’s finances, takes BFI through an annual strategic planning cycle, and has provided leadership and CEO mentoring as needed.

Schlesinger’s advice to other would-be business owners?

Don’t do it alone. Reach out to resources like the SBDC, which has an incredible talent pool and experience base from which to draw. The MAC SBDC team is clearly dedicated to helping startups and existing businesses reach their goals, as well as to contribute to the growth of the economy.
