When I became director of the Microbusiness Advancement Center Small Business Development Center (MAC SBDC), I was amazed so few knew a “No Fee” one-on-one counseling service was available to business owners. Then I found out there was a school of thought that says, “If it’s free, how good can it be?”
I can understand the reticence to trust things that come free, thinking there must be a “catch” or some hidden cost. That’s not always the case. There is a wealth of resources available to small business and we are such a resource.
