MAC offers a variety of training classes to help you create or grow your business. To learn more, attend one of our free weekly orientation sessions.
Orientations in English are offered every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.
Orientations in Spanish are held every Thursday at 5:00 p.m.

WBC’s Business Planning Course-Steps to Business Success*
This course will cover all key elements of planning a successful business with its three business planning clusters and modules. This is a program with flexible, rotating schedules; culminating in the development of a fully professional business plan. The program has been designed to address mistakes and issues leading to small business failures. You can start immediately and finish in three months or plan ahead to finish in a year. Enrollment includes individual counseling with the instructor during the 10 weeks of instruction.
Each cluster consists of three 4-hour sessions, There are four opportunities throughout the year to attend each cluster
Cluster 1: Business Organization and Concept Development
October 1, October 8 & October 15
Cluster 2: Planning & Marketing
October 22, October 29 & November 5
Cluster 3: Financial Development
November 12, November 19 & December 3
Overview Session: 4 Hour Session (Putting it all together, resources, next steps)

Location: 320 N Commerce Park Loop, Sentinel Building, Rillito/Sabino Room
Time: Saturdays, 8:00 a.m.-12 noon
Cost: $200 per cluster, or $530 for entire BP course. Scholarships are available for those completing the entire BP course. Call MAC at 520-620-1241 for more information.

Introduction to Business Ownership (IBO) - November 15 & 17*
The Women’s Business center offers Introduction to Business Ownership specifically for those individuals who want to know if their business idea is a good one-both financially and personally.
Concepts that will be covered:
-Components of the business plan
-Start-up checklist
-Determining your business classification
-SWOT analysis
-Uses of the business plan

You’re Guide to Starting a 501C3
A Workshop Series
In collaboration with SCORE of Southern Arizona, the Women’s Business Center and the Small Business Development Center
Session 1: Uncover the “hot spots” in the 501c3 application (2 hrs.)
During this session you will receive an interpretation of the IRS questions; uncovering crucial questions to avoid errors. You will also be introduced to the significance of your mission and vision, as well as addressing competition for the dollars.
Session 2: What you need to know to set up a 501c3 (2 hrs.)
During this session you will learn simple techniques to expedite approval process. You will also be presented with an overall structure of 501c3 organizations, fees associated and timing, qualifications, and an in-depth look into establishing your vision and mission statements.
Session 3: The nuts and bolts of a 501c3 organization (2 hrs.)
Set up your non-profit the right way! During this session you will be presented with accounting and policy requirements related to 501c3 organizations. You will also learn about financial statements and board representation. In addition, you will learn how to select and develop your board of directors and create a succession plan. An accountant and attorney will be there to answer questions

El programa de Desarrollo de Negocios/Plan Comercial de MAC, cubre los elementos esenciales para un negocio con exito. Este programa, consiste en tres talleres de cuatro sesiones por taller, cada sesion, tiene una duracion de 4 horas. El programa, esta disenado de manera flexible. Usted puede empezar inmediatamente y terminar en tres meses o planear el termino de sus clases en un ano conforme a su disponibilidad de tiempo. Durante su participacion en cada taller y modulo. usted contrara con asesoria/consultoria gratuita con su instructor!
Cada taller consiste de cuatro sesiones de 4 horas cada una. Usted puede inscribirse a un modulo, dos o los tres!

Los participantes interesados estan invitados a una sesion de orientacion gratis de una hora, que resume los programas y los servicios que ofrece MAC, y tambien, proporcionan informacion general del negocio y recursos disponibles. Las orientaciones permiten tambien tiempo para que los clientes nuevos completen la documentacion de MAC.
