Your Guide to Starting a 501C3

A Workshop Series

In collaboration with SCORE of Southern Arizona, the Women’s Business Center and the Small Business Development Center

Session 1:  Uncover the “hot spots” in the 501c3 application (2 hrs.)

During this session you will receive an interpretation of the IRS questions; uncovering crucial questions to avoid errors.  You will also be introduced to the significance of your mission and vision, as well as addressing competition for the dollars.

Session 2:  What you need to know to set up a 501c3 (2 hrs.)

During this session you will learn simple techniques to expedite approval process.  You will also be presented with an overall structure of 501c3 organizations, fees associated and timing, qualifications, and an in-depth look into establishing your vision and mission statements.

Session 3:  The nuts and bolts of a 501c3 organization (2 hrs.)

Set up your non-profit the right way!  During this session you will be presented with accounting and policy requirements related to 501c3 organizations.  You will also learn about financial statements and board representation. In addition, you will learn how to select and develop your board of directors and create a succession plan. An accountant and attorney will be there to answer questions

Childcare Workshop

November 29, 2011 | 6:30-9:30pm

The Microbusiness  Advancement Center childcare workshop is 3 hour program designed to introduce the business principles and resources necessary for childcare providers to manage, develop pricing,and create detailed policies and procedures. Business planning and parent handbooks are the business foundation for developing and growing a childcare business.
